Cleaner and Maintenance

Fordhams is a busy café in Camberwell, and we need a reliable cleaner to keep the place looking its best. You'll look after the kitchen, front of house and bathrooms so our team can focus on service and our customers walk into a clean, welcoming space. This role suits someone with cleaning experience who works efficiently and doesn't cut corners. Weekend availability is a must. Shifts run across weekdays and weekends, and you'll need to be available Saturdays and Sundays as part of your regular roster. What you'll do Clean the kitchen, including benches, floors, sinks and appliance exteriors Degrease cooking areas and clean behind and under equipment Clean tables, chairs, counters and the dining area Clean and restock bathrooms Sweep, mop and keep floors dry and safe during and after service Empty bins and manage recycling and food waste Follow our cleaning checklist and flag any maintenance issues What we're looking for Previous commercial or hospitality cleaning experience Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards in a food venue Safe handling of cleaning chemicals Reliable, punctual and able to work without close supervision Comfortable working around a live café environment Valid working rights in Australia Available to work weekends as part of your regular roster Why work with us Regular shifts across weekdays and weekends A clear checklist, so you know exactly what's expected A friendly local café team that values good, consistent work
